Job Title: Neonatal Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Neonatal ICU or PICU Critical Care License: RRT Certifications: PALS Must-Have: 1+ year of Neonatal or PICU Critical Care experience Ability to independently admit and manage ventilated patients in Pediatric ICU using Servo U ventilator Proficient in setting up and managing heliox therapy through invasive and non-invasive measures Familiarity with non-invasive ventilation including use of BiPAP and CPAP Neonatal skills including Bubble CPAP, use of nitric oxide, and high-frequency ventilation Description: This position involves working in a neonatal intensive care unit. The role requires advanced skills in managing complex respiratory care for critically ill patients. Responsibilities include admitting and managing ventilated patients independently. Technologies used include Servo U and Drager VN500 ventilators, F&P Bubble CPAP, high-frequency oscillation ventilation, high-frequency jet ventilation, Vaportherm, and heliox therapy. Documentation is managed through a specific electronic system. Candidate must be adaptable as this role includes floating between areas as needed.
