Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients of all ages, including assessment, treatment, monitoring, and emergency respiratory support in an acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary and respiratory disorders.
  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and other respiratory treatments.
  • Manage and monitor mechanical ventilators and airway support devices.
  • Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and interpret results.
  • Respond to respiratory emergencies, rapid response, and code blue situations.
  • Assist with intubations and airway management procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and progress in the EMR.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and respiratory care standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of recent Respiratory Therapy experience preferred.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential required.
  • Current California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
  • Registered or Certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required.
  • Current ACLS certification required.
  • NRP certification preferred.
  • PALS certification preferred.
  • PEARS certification preferred.
  • Strong critical care, ventilator management, and emergency response skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
