Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric critical care experience for a night shift position at a children's hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.

Details

  • Respiratory Care department in a pediatric hospital setting
  • Previous experience in a children's-only hospital is preferred
  • Night shift, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week (40 hours/week)
  • 26-week contract

Requirements

  • Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
  • Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience required; 2+ years in a critical care setting preferred
  • RRT credential required
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the state of Oklahoma (license required if applicable)
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • ACLS (AHA) required within 3 months of hire
  • All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

  • Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff and document patient responses in the computerized medical record
  • Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring across all appropriate age levels
  • Serve as a resource to medical staff and ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained
  • Participate as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
  • Workers who have previously been placed at this facility may return after a 6-month separation period; extensions are limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks
  • This facility enforces strict compliance deadlines — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon acceptance of an offer
