Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Travel Assignment

Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: 2220 N. Druid Hills Road, Atlanta, GA 30329
Schedule: Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide respiratory care in a pediatric Level I trauma facility. The therapist will work across PICU, NICU, Emergency Department, ICU, and general pediatric units, delivering advanced respiratory care to critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, treat, and monitor pediatric and neonatal patients requiring respiratory therapy.
  • Provide respiratory care in the PICU, NICU, Emergency Department, ICU, and general pediatric care units.
  • Manage mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, airway management, and emergency respiratory interventions.
  • Respond to respiratory emergencies and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Accurately document patient care and treatments using Epic EMR.
  • Float to assigned units as needed based on departmental staffing requirements.
  • Work 12-hour day shifts, including every other weekend.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Registered Respiratory Therapist experience.
  • Pediatric respiratory therapy experience required.
  • Extensive critical care experience in:
    • PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit)
    • NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)
    • Emergency Department (ED)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
  • Active Georgia Respiratory Care License at the time of submission.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Experience in a Level I Trauma Center strongly preferred.
  • Must be willing to float to appropriate pediatric care areas.
  • No on-call requirements.

Facility Requirements

  • EMR: Epic
  • Flu vaccination is required for the current flu season (no medical or religious exemptions accepted during flu season).
  • Nicotine-free facility – nicotine screening is required along with the pre-employment drug screen.
  • Requested Time Off (RTO) must be submitted with the application.
