Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced RN – Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), The ideal Candidate will provide expert nursing care to patients recovering from surgical procedures. You will monitor patients through the critical recovery phase, manage complex care needs, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure safe transitions throughout the continuum of care.

This role requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver calm, compassionate care in a fast-paced surgical recovery environment.


Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care for post-operative patients according to established standards and evidence-based practices
Assess patient conditions, identify care priorities, and implement individualized care plans
Monitor recovery progress following anesthesia and surgical procedures
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
Promote patient safety, comfort, and optimal recovery outcomes
Educate patients and families regarding recovery expectations and care plans
Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care initiatives
Delegate appropriately and coordinate activities with nursing team members
Utilize critical thinking, clinical expertise, and independent judgment in patient care decisions


Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

Active CA Registered Nurse (RN) license
PACU, perioperative, or acute care nursing experience preferred
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Certifications

Current AHA BLS certification required
CPR certification required
