Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for adults in an acute medicine/medical-surgical setting, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications and IV therapies, manage lines and drains, obtain specimens, and interpret basic diagnostic results
- Respond promptly to changes in patient status and provide emergency interventions as needed; collaborate with physicians, case managers, and the interdisciplinary team
- Communicate effectively with patients and families; provide education on medications, treatments, and discharge planning
- Document care accurately in the medical record; ensure safety, infection control, and adherence to policy and protocol; participate in rounds and handoffs
- Support post-procedure and post-op nursing care when applicable; assist with pain management and transition to appropriate levels of care

Requirements
- Recent experience in acute medicine or medical-surgical nursing preferred
- AHA BLS certification required
- Ability to work night shift (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.) in a hospital setting
- Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment; no local candidates within 50 miles
