Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level III NICU position requiring compact RN licensure and at least 1 year of specialty experience.

Details

  • Work in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within a hospital setting
  • Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
  • May be required to take on-call during a regularly scheduled shift

Requirements

  • Active RN license, Colorado or Compact, required
  • Current BLS certification (AHA) required, not expiring prior to start date
  • NRP certification required; ACLS/PALS may be required as appropriate for the unit
  • ASN required; BSN preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of NICU specialty experience required
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical duties per state Board of Nursing standards
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for NICU patients
  • Provide health teaching, counseling, and supportive therapy to patients and families
  • Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
  • Promote the mission, vision, and values of the health system and adhere to service behavior standards
  • Returning employees must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
  • Background check and drug screening results required prior to start, with candidates expected to report for testing within 24 hours of assignment commitment
