Patterns Hiring is seeking a travel nurse RN Behavioral Health for a travel nursing job in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Grand Rapids, MI | ️ 13 Weeks | ⏱️ 36 hrs/week | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in an inpatient behavioral health setting. The ideal candidate will have strong psychiatric nursing experience, pediatric behavioral health experience, and the ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized behavioral health care plans
Provide direct nursing care for inpatient psychiatric patients across diverse populations
Administer medications, monitor patient safety, and respond to changes in condition
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate treatment
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge planning
Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff
Delegate and supervise support staff as needed
Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
Requirements:
Active Michigan RN License
Minimum 2 years of inpatient Behavioral Health experience
Pediatric behavioral health experience required
Current BLS certification
Strong communication, crisis intervention, and patient assessment skills
Assignment Details:
13-week assignment
36 hours per week (opportunity to pick up additional shifts based on unit needs)
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Every other weekend required
No on-call
