Responsibilities
- Provide unit-based leadership in the ICU, working collaboratively with the Nurse Manager, Director, Physicians, and staff to guide nursing practice and patient care.
- Supervise and direct the activities of licensed and ancillary personnel, using professional judgment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality care.
- Promote cost-effective care while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction; assess patient experience and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary rounds and care coordination; oversee staffing plans, resource allocation, and delegation of tasks to ensure optimal unit operations.
- Support staff development, mentor new hires, and uphold evidence-based practice and compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements
- Active, unrestricted California RN license
- ICU/critical care nursing experience; leadership or charge nurse experience in an ICU setting preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications (e.g., ACLS) as dictated by unit policy
- Demonstrated ability to lead, communicate effectively, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ICU environment and manage staff and patient care priorities
- Availability to start by 06/29/2026 and commit to a 13-week assignment
