Responsibilities
- Provide RN supervision across assigned units during off shifts, coordinating nursing care, ensuring patient safety, and guiding support staff to maintain high-quality care.
- Lead charge and leadership activities, de-escalation, and management of assaultive/violent behaviors within the geriatric population.
- Oversee clinical procedures and care such as IV starts, PICC line care, wound VACs, tube feeds, indwelling catheters, and ostomy care; monitor infection control and isolation procedures.
- Ensure regulatory compliance with governing bodies (DPH, TJC, OSHA), complete incident and sentinel event reporting, and support emergency preparedness.
- Maintain accurate charting in EPIC; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, radiology, social services, pharmacy, interpretation services, unit secretary) to coordinate care and handoffs.

Requirements
- Education: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
- Licensure: Active NY nursing license in hand
- Certifications: BLS certification required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of charge or supervisory experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting
- Skills: EPIC charting experience required; strong leadership, de-escalation, and staff coaching abilities
- Mobility: Ability to float across units and work off shifts (nights, weekends, holidays)
- Location restrictions: Locals accepted disabled for this assignment; candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility
