Overview
Charge RN - Emergency Department in Roswell, New Mexico, United States (ER). This is a travel - temporary assignment in a hospital setting. Shift: Nights, 4x12-hour shifts. Weekly pay: $1,971 to $2,076 per week. Hours are not guaranteed. Schedule includes alternating weeks with 48 hours one week and 36 hours the next, and every-other-weekend coverage. Responsibilities
- Provide charge RN leadership in the Emergency Department during night shifts, ensuring patient flow, triage accuracy, and safety protocols are followed.
- Oversee airway/ventilator care, BiPAP/CPAP, central/arterial line management, IV therapy, and vasopressor administration; administer blood products as indicated.
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; participate in procedural sedation and trauma care basics; support quick decision-making in high-acuity scenarios.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy) and activate Rapid Response as needed.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic; ensure charting reflects assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Manage typical 4:1 patient ratios and provide guidance to bedside staff; float to like units within scope when required.
- Assist with triage, disposition decisions, and coordination of care for patients across age groups from neonates to geriatrics.

Requirements
- Licensure: NM/Compact license accepted; must be obtained prior to start
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, TNCC (all listed as required)
- Experience: Previous charge RN experience required; 3 years preferred; first-time travel accepted
- Documentation: Epic charting experience required
- Skills: Airway/ventilator management, central lines, IV therapy, vasopressors, blood product administration, dysrhythmia interpretation/management; procedural sedation and trauma care basics
- Setting adaptability: Able to work in a fast-paced ED with variable census; comfortable floating to like units within scope
- Travel restrictions: 50-mile local radius — locals not accepted
