Overview
Registered Nurse – Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CCU/CTICU) in Utica, New York. This travel - temporary assignment starts 06/15/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,274–$2,370 with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift: 12-hour nights on a 2x3 schedule. Setting: hospital-based CTICU with a 6-bed unit focused on postoperative cardiac care and related diagnoses.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for adult CTICU patients, including postoperative cardiac surgery recipients and those with conditions such as cardiogenic shock or major vascular issues.
- Monitor hemodynamics, titrate vasoactive medications, and manage devices (e.g., chest tubes, pacing) as ordered.
- Provide ventilator support and respiratory therapies; respond to critical events and codes per unit protocol.
- Collaborate with surgeons, perfusionists, pharmacists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and case management to plan and execute patient care plans.
- Administer medications, perform ongoing assessments, and document findings in the EPIC electronic health record; ensure accuracy and compliance with infection control standards.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in CCU/CTICU or cardiothoracic ICU
- Experience with fresh hearts is REQUIRED
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Travel experience required
- Shift availability includes 12-hour nights on a 2x3 schedule
