Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth nutrition assessments for inpatients and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
- Provide medical nutrition therapy and diet prescriptions for a range of conditions; monitor progression and adjust plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with medical and nursing teams to optimize patient outcomes; participate in rounds and care planning.
- Manage nutrition support therapies as appropriate (e.g., enteral nutrition) and coordinate with the clinical team.
- Document all care and interventions in the electronic health record systems used in the department (Cerner and CBORD).
- Educate patients and families on nutrition plans, dietary modifications, and discharge nutrition recommendations; coordinate with food service to align meals with prescribed therapy.

Requirements
- Active Registered Dietitian license in the state of California.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential from an ACEND-accredited program.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics from an ACEND-program.
- Clinical nutrition experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic health records; Cerner and CBORD experience preferred.
- Ability to work a 40-hour week in a daytime, hospital-based clinical environment.
