Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate recreation-based treatment programs for people with disabilities or injuries, or mental illnesses.
- Provide treatment services and recreational therapy using a variety of techniques, including arts and crafts, animals, sports, games, dance and movement, drama, music, and community outings.
- Assess participant needs and adapt therapy plans to goals, progress, and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to integrate recreation therapy into overall treatment goals.
- Document services, outcomes, and patient progress in accordance with applicable policies and regulations.
- Promote patient engagement, safety, and dignity during activities and events.

Requirements
- Current credential as a Recreational Therapist (as applicable in California) or equivalent per state requirements
- Ability to work in an inpatient/acute-care–style clinical setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with care teams
- Demonstrated ability to plan and implement therapy activities across diverse patient groups
- Eligible to work in the United States and meet assignment-specific compliance requirements
