Radiation Oncology Therapist – Allied Travel

Albany, New York

Contract | Travel | Days | 13-Week Assignment | Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | Projected Start: 06/22/2026

• Administer ionizing radiation and radioactive substances to patients under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist and in accordance with New York State Department of Health Code Part 16 guidelines.
• Accurately enter and maintain patient treatment parameters into the electronic medical record and interpret computerized treatment plans.
• Observe patients daily for reactions and immediately report any adverse reactions to the Radiation Oncology Nurse or Radiation Oncologist.
• Operate high-voltage machinery safely and accurately, and communicate equipment malfunctions to pertinent personnel in a timely manner.
• Facilitate complex problem solving regarding technical issues related to radiation therapy equipment and treatment delivery.
• Adhere to NYSDOH, ARRT, and ACRO radiation safety protocols while maintaining professional conduct essential to patient well-being.

• Active New York State Radiation Therapist license (may be obtained during onboarding).
• Current ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy.
• Completion of an AMA-approved Radiation Therapy Technology training program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist.

• Hands-on experience operating Varian TrueBeam and/or Varian 21iX linear accelerators.
• Prior travel therapy experience in a radiation oncology setting.
