Job Title: Clienttion Therapist Profession: Operations Specialty: General Operations Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 1 year preferred License: RN Certifications: BLS, ARRT, IDNS (Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety) Must-Have: - Treatment with true beam - Rooming and setting patients up in the treatment room Description: Comprehensive stroke center with 749 beds. Offers treatment for oncology patients. 95% of cases are outpatient, with some inpatient/emergency appointments. Patient ratio for RNs is 1:1 in outpatient settings. Average of 55 patients per week, with 10 consults and 15 follow-ups weekly. Therapist ratio is 1:1 with an average of 20 patients in each machine per day. There are 12 therapists, 4 registered nurses, and 2-3 physicians to support on the unit. The charting system used is EPIC Client Alaris Pyxis. No weekend rotations; scheduling is Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30. There is no on-call duty or holiday work required. The culture is fast-paced, flexible, and team-oriented. Natural nail tips must be kept less than 1/4 inch long, and artificial fingernails or extenders are not allowed during direct patient contact.
