Job Title: Clienttion Therapist Profession: Radiology Specialty: Clienttion Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience is required; 2 to 5 years preferred. License: Must possess licensure as required by relevant state regulations. Certifications: Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Must-Have: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Must have state licensure upon hire. Description: Provide radiation therapy to patients as prescribed according to established practices and standards. Review prescriptions and diagnoses. Act as a liaison between providers and support staff. Prepare equipment, including immobilization devices, treatment devices, and protection devices. Maintain records, reports, and files. Assist in the localization of tumors and dosimetry procedures as required. Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide services based on the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and other related criteria appropriate to the population served. Maintain required core competencies. Comply with set policies and procedures. Deliver the prescribed course of radiation therapy with minimal supervision. Check for completion of dose prescription and signed consent form before initiating treatment. Explain procedures to patients and communicate openly during treatment. Maintain awareness of emergency procedures during patient treatment. Reinforce advice given by Clienttion Oncologists regarding reactions to treatment. Prepare the treatment room and equipment according to the approved prescription. Transfer patients safely to the treatment table. Check daily treatment times and deliver the prescribed dose. Maintain visual and audio communication with the patient during treatment. Maintain patient markings and document treatment progress accurately. Observe patients for unusual reactions and report them to the Clienttion Oncologist. Assist patients as necessary in entering or leaving the facility and treatment room. Observe radiation safety measures for patients and team members. Accurately maintain patient treatment charts and dosages as prescribed. Assist in tumor localization procedures and ensure the review of all localization films. Implement field or dosage changes as prescribed. Fabricate treatment devices as required. Work effectively with minimal supervision. Assist in dosimetry and simulation procedures as necessary. Ensure that all treatment films are approved before initiating treatment. Maintain a clean and orderly workstation. Schedule patient treatment and simulation appointments. Initiate machine start-up procedures promptly. Rotate on-call and weekend duties as specified by department policy. Notify the Clienttion Oncologist of any complications or treatment errors. Report any treatment errors immediately. Adhere to all departmental policies and procedures. Secure and maintain supplies in the treatment room. Check and document all equipment functionality. Attend departmental meetings. Ensure proper documentation of procedures in patient charts. Participate in quality assurance management as directed. Utilize personal protective equipment as necessary. Demonstrate the ability to assess situations and choose appropriate courses of action. Adapt care for patients according to their needs and preferences. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
