Radiation Therapist
Location: The George Washington University Hospital, Washington, DC
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 5x8, M - F, 40 hours
Start Date: ASAP

Requirements:

  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of Radiation Therapist experience required.
  • Current ARRT (RT(T) license and BLS required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy preferred.
Experience -
  • Experience delivering radiation therapy under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist.
  • Experience working with Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists in simulation, treatment planning, and dose calculations.
  • Responsible for daily warm-up and quality assurance of treatment machines and CT simulator.
  • Experience educating patients and families on radiation therapy procedures.
  • Knowledge of standard radiation treatment protocols and documentation.
  • Experience with:
    • Linear Accelerator
    • CT Simulator
    • ADAC Treatment Planning System
    • VARIS System
  • Weekend on-call participation may be required.
