Key Responsibilities of the Radiation Therapist - Interventional Radiology
  • Provide radiation therapy to patients according to established practices and standards
  • Review prescriptions and diagnoses; act as a liaison between providers and support staff
  • Prepare and maintain equipment, including immobilization, treatment, and protection devices
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and files
  • Assist in tumor localization and dosimetry procedures as needed
  • Adhere to policies and procedures

Requirements of the Radiation Therapist - Interventional Radiology
  • Graduate of Committee on Allied Health Education and an accredited radiology program or equivalent
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Current American Heart Basic Life Support (BLS) card
  • Must have New Mexico Licensure upon hire
  • Two to five years of clinical experience preferred, with IMRT and LDR/HDR experience
