What You'll Need:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program

• AART Certification in Radiation Therapy

• Valid Radiation Therapy state license, if required

• 2 years' experience as a radiation therapist


Additional Duties:

• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment

• Accurately position patients and ensure proper immobilization during treatment

• Verify treatment plans and dosage with oncology team

• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after therapy

• Document treatments and maintain accurate patient records


Minimum Requirements:

• ARRT (Therapy) certification required.

• Current NYS Radiologic Technologist — Therapy license required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

• Minimum 2 years' recent experience as a Radiation Therapist in cancer services/oncology or acute care settings.

• Experience with Varian or Ethos treatment systems preferred.

• Demonstrated skills in External Beam Therapy, IMRT, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, tumor localization, custom molds and shields, portal imaging, and dose calculation.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to float between Radiation Oncology locations as needed.

• Strong communication, adaptability, dependability, and punctuality.

• Experience with lift/transfer devices and adherence to isolation precautions/PPE.
