Job Title: Radiation Therapist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Radiation Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: Previous charge experience preferred License: ARRT T Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Experience with charting systems, preferably Epic Description: Radiation Therapist position available. Work Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Floating to other units and campuses may be required based on census needs. Staff will only float to units they are qualified for and performing tasks for which competencies have been demonstrated. Education requirements include an associate degree. Prior experience in a progressive radiation oncology department is preferred. Work with diverse patient age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily duties may include patient/family teaching and the care of patients in restraints. Technical skills required include experience with external beam therapy, stereotactic radiosurgery, and simulation of treatment sites. Candidates should be familiar with radiation safety procedures and emergency cases. Effective teamwork with interdisciplinary support teams will be essential. All staff will adhere to safety and compliance regulations within the facility.
