What You'll Need:
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program
• ARRT (AART) certification in Radiation Therapy
• Valid state Radiation Therapy license. Client requires a current Maryland license to practice radiation therapy. (Candidate must meet licensing requirements as specified by the client.)
• BLS certification
• 2 years’ experience as a Radiation Therapist
• Experience collaborating with Radiation Oncologists, medical physicists, and dosimetrists in treatment planning and simulation
Minimum Requirements / Client-Specific Requirements:
• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (required)
• Current Maryland state Radiation Therapy license (required by client)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years’ clinical experience as a radiation therapist in a hospital or cancer center setting (required)
• Experience administering ionizing radiation therapy and verifying treatment plans (required)
• Preferred: experience with treatment simulation, immobilization devices, and use of linear accelerators

Additional Duties:
• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators
• Accurately position patients and ensure proper immobilization during treatment
• Verify and implement treatment plans and dosages in coordination with the oncology team
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions and manage patient care during and after therapy
• Document treatments and maintain accurate patient records in accordance with facility policies
