Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The RN will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care, performing assessments, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans. This role emphasizes patient safety, team collaboration, and facilitating a smooth patient discharge process.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are required prior to first shift. A minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience, including ICU experience, is required. Nursing degree or equivalent.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Progressive Care Unit setting is preferred.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The RN will perform initial patient assessments within 8 hours of admission, participate in patient rehabilitation programs, and initiate discharge planning from the first day of admission. The role involves supervising ancillary staff, ensuring safety standards are met, and maintaining clear, timely documentation. The RN will also be expected to contribute to a positive team environment and pursue ongoing professional development.
