The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position is located in Louisville, Kentucky. This role involves working in a high-acuity, comprehensive stroke unit that values teamwork, compassion, and patient-centered care. The nurse will be responsible for delivering skilled nursing care to a diverse patient population, including stroke, neuro, and neurosurgery cases, within a dynamic hospital environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shift times, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/17/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications include NIHSS and BLS. A valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse and experience in neuro assessment, phlebotomy, EKG rhythm analysis, NG/Dobhoff placement, and vascular access are required.

  • Additional Information: The unit features specialized equipment such as sera steady, Arjo lifts, kangaroo pump, and sapphire pump for PCA.
