Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position available in Augusta, Georgia. This role involves providing high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients in a specialized hospital setting. The nurse will manage patient assessments, monitor vital signs, administer medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes, especially during night shifts.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Current ACLS certification; nursing license valid in Georgia; at least 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting; familiarity with cardiac infusion therapy and insulin drips.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Progressive Care Unit or similar environment; excellent team communication skills; ability to work independently and self-schedule night shifts.
  • Additional Information: Unit utilizes Alaris intravenous pumps, Welch Allyn vital sign machines, bladder scans, and vein finders. Documentation is completed through Meditech. Staff are awarded for their teamwork and dedication; candidates should work well with others. The unit operates under specific policies on patient assessments, vital signs, and blood glucose checks, with a focus on safety and quality care.
