Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Columbus, Ohio. The RN is responsible for delivering quality patient care, supervising nursing staff, and ensuring safety and compliance with hospital policies. The role involves assessing patients, developing individualized care plans, and participating actively in patient rehabilitation and discharge planning. This assignment offers a 13-week duration with day shifts.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification if applicable, at least 2 years of bedside clinical experience, Ohio state RN license, and relevant education according to state and facility requirements
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a clinical setting similar to a Progressive Care Unit
  • Additional Information:
    • Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to establish individualized care plans
    • Communicates patient information effectively during meetings and shift hand-offs
    • Documents assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in medical records
    • Participates in patient rehabilitation programs and initiates discharge planning from the day of admission
    • Delegates tasks appropriately and supervises ancillary nursing staff
    • Ensures personal and environmental safety following hospital policies
    • Maintains communication with management regarding supplies, equipment, and clinical training needs
    • Engages in professional development through ongoing education and self-study
    • Assumes charge responsibility after orientation, if requested
    • Performs other duties as assigned
