Responsibilities
- Assist with implementation of prescribed physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed PT
- Lead patient exercises, gait training, transfers, and activities of daily living to promote mobility and independence
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment, ensuring proper sanitation and infection control
- Document patient progress, responses to therapy, and any changes for the supervising clinician
- Monitor patient safety and communicate concerns or notable outcomes to the physical therapist and care team
- Collaborate with nursing and therapy staff to support comprehensive resident care plans
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in good standing in North Dakota or eligibility for licensure per state requirements
- Graduation from an accredited PTA program (Associate degree)
- Experience in rehabilitation support or long-term care settings preferred; new graduates considered
- Ability to work days and commit to 36 hours per week
- Comfortable working in a long-term care setting and following care plans under supervision
