Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Long Term Care

Key Responsibilities- Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist.
- Administer rehabilitation procedures including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, ambulation, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices.
- Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Document all required clinical information in the electronic documentation system and accurately record treatment minutes per regulatory requirements.
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to physical disorders.
- Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings, as well as required trainings and in-services.
Required Qualifications- Active Massachusetts PTA license required at time of submission.
- Minimum of 1 year of PTA experience required.
- Long Term Care (LTC) or rehabilitation setting experience required.
- Adherence to APTA standards, state practice acts, code of conduct, and professional ethics.
Preferred Experience / Skills- New graduates with completed Level II clinical experience will be considered.
- Experience supervising or supporting students in a clinical setting.
