Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) – Acute Rehab Unit (Travel)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM–4:30 PM), with every 4th weekend required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide physical therapy treatment and rehabilitation services to patients in an acute rehabilitation unit (ARU)
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Document patient progress and treatment notes using facility EMR systems (Cerner; transitioning to Epic in October)
- Float to med/surg and acute care units as needed
- Adhere to facility dress code (light gray scrubs) and all applicable policies and procedures
Required Qualifications- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license valid in the state of Rhode Island
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a PTA
- Inpatient rehabilitation or acute care experience
- Ability to commit to a 13-week travel contract beginning July 13, 2026
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF), acute care, or skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting
- Familiarity with Cerner and/or Epic EMR platforms
- Prior travel assignment experience
