    Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday–Wednesday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, Tuesday–Thursday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM–2:00 PM

    Key Responsibilities
    • Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the supervising Physical Therapist, including posture training, strengthening exercises, balance and coordination exercises, joint mobility, pain relief, and functional skills training.
    • Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices such as canes, crutches, walkers, and wheelchairs, demonstrating proper guarding and safety techniques.
    • Administer therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, hot/cold packs, iontophoresis, fluidotherapy, paraffin bath, and whirlpool treatments.
    • Monitor patient responses to treatment and intervene as necessary, documenting patient progress, response to treatment, and patient and family education.
    • Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control guidelines, safe patient handling practices, and all facility safety policies and procedures.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare disciplines, participate in team conferences, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license or eligibility to practice in the state of Georgia.
    • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
    • Demonstrated ability to implement physical therapy treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
    • Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and assistive/adaptive devices used in outpatient rehabilitation settings.
    • Commitment to patient and employee safety standards, including safe patient handling and infection control protocols.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy setting.
    • Experience with gait training, therapeutic exercise, and functional skills training in an outpatient environment.
    • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build professional relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff.
