Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
LocationSanta Maria, CA
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (flexible); every 3rd weekend required; minor holidays required, major holidays as needed
Key Responsibilities- Provide physical therapy assistant services in a home-based care setting across an assigned geographical region
- Work with patients presenting with orthopedic conditions, strokes, joint issues, and spinal injuries
- Complete and maintain OASIS documentation in compliance with government requirements
- Utilize Cerner EMR system for accurate and timely patient recordkeeping
- Adhere to dress code standards including business attire and white lab coat
- Participate in orientation period of approximately 1.5–2 weeks upon start
Required Qualifications- Active PTA license in good standing
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum one year of experience working in physical therapy
- Demonstrated experience with OASIS documentation
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR or ability to learn quickly
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in a home health care setting
- Familiarity with home-based patient care workflows and scheduling
