Key Responsibilities- Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
- Conduct 60-minute evaluations and treatment sessions, designing functional treatment programs to support effective return to community activities
- Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
- Ensure all care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals as required
- Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
- Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements, maintaining professional licensure in good standing
Required Qualifications- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) licensure in good standing in the state of California
- Prior outpatient physical therapy experience required — new graduates will not be considered
- Demonstrated competency in clinical reasoning, treatment planning, and goal writing
- Ability to complete thorough and compliant medical record documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Commitment to patient and employee safety standards and safe patient handling practices
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience participating in or supervising student clinical programs
- Active involvement in continuing education and professional development activities
- Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality initiatives in a clinical setting
