Key Responsibilities- Implement components of patient care plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist patients with stretching, exercise, and balance training techniques
- Collect and document data related to treatments provided and collaborate with the PT to modify care as necessary
- Communicate with patients and families to identify and teach appropriate at-home care techniques
- Safely transfer and transport patients from wheelchairs or walkers to the therapy area
- Complete administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, filing paperwork, and maintaining a clean and organized therapy environment
Required Qualifications- Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Washington
- Minimum of 1 year of PTA experience
- Long Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience
- Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of start
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working with patients across a wide range of ages and care needs, including post-acute populations
- Familiarity with balance training and functional mobility techniques in a skilled nursing environment
