Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) – Long Term Care

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement components of patient care plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
  • Assist patients with stretching, exercise, and balance training techniques
  • Collect and document data related to treatments provided and collaborate with the PT to modify care as necessary
  • Communicate with patients and families to identify and teach appropriate at-home care techniques
  • Safely transfer and transport patients from wheelchairs or walkers to the therapy area
  • Complete administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, filing paperwork, and maintaining a clean and organized therapy environment
Required Qualifications
  • Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Washington
  • Minimum of 1 year of PTA experience
  • Long Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience
  • Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of start
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience working with patients across a wide range of ages and care needs, including post-acute populations
  • Familiarity with balance training and functional mobility techniques in a skilled nursing environment
