Contract | Days | Outpatient | 13-Week Assignment with Option to Extend

• Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the supervising Physical Therapist, including posture training, strengthening exercise, balance, coordination, joint mobility, pain relief, and functional skills training.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, and assistive devices such as canes, crutches, walkers, and wheelchairs, demonstrating proper guarding techniques and safety awareness.
• Administer therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, hot/cold packs, whirlpools, paraffin bath, iontophoresis, fluidotherapy, and TENS units.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and intervene as necessary, documenting patient progress, response to treatment, and patient and family education.
• Educate patients and families on proper body mechanics and prescribed equipment use.
• Maintain a safe, clean treatment environment; adhere to infection control, safety, and facility policies and procedures.

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Florida.
• Ability to implement and carry out treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and safe patient handling techniques.
• Commitment to patient and employee safety standards in all aspects of care delivery.

• Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting.
• Familiarity with community re-entry training and endurance/cardiac rehabilitation programs.
