Physical Therapy Assistant

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 5x8-Hour Shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Key Responsibilities- Provide physical therapy assistance to patients with diagnoses including but not limited to joint replacement, orthopedic aftercare, CVA, osteoarthritis, diabetes, CHF, COPD, CKD, dementia, amputation, surgical and non-surgical wounds, cancer, UTI, and PVD
- Deliver patient care under the direction of a supervising Physical Therapist in accordance with established care plans
- Participate in weekend rotation on an every-other-weekend basis
- Float within scope of practice as operationally required
- Adhere to all compliance, onboarding, and orientation requirements within designated timelines
- Work assigned major holidays as required per contract terms
Required Qualifications- Active Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in Georgia or a qualifying Compact state at time of submission
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant; first-time travelers with Home Health experience will be considered
- Ability to complete full compliance and onboarding requirements within 48 hours of contract signing
- All compliance documentation must be submitted by the Tuesday prior to start date
- All requested time off (maximum 7 days per contract) must be finalized at time of submission — no schedule changes or RTO requests will be accepted post-offer or post-start
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in a home health or rehabilitation setting
- Familiarity with a diverse patient population including neurological, orthopedic, and chronic disease diagnoses
- Previous travel therapy experience in a similar clinical environment
