Key Responsibilities
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
  • Conduct 60-minute evaluations and treatment sessions, designing functional programs to support patients' return to community activities
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical record documentation including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry
  • Ensure all care is delivered under valid physician orders and within applicable insurance authorizations
  • Participate in student programs as assigned, providing appropriate supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
  • Actively engage in professional development through continuing education, self-study, and involvement in professional organizations
Required Qualifications
  • Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) licensure in good standing in the state of California
  • Outpatient physical therapy experience required (new graduates will not be considered)
  • Adherence to state-specific PTA Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements
  • Completion of all state-mandated continuing education requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain compliance with documentation standards in accordance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with functional quality indicator assessments and letters of medical necessity
  • Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality initiatives in a clinical setting
