We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week contract assignment in a Skilled Nursing Facility in Charlottesville, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a collaborative rehabilitation team and help patients improve mobility, function, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and mobility programs
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and safety strategies
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes
