Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in delivering patient care and implementing treatment plans
- Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and other physical therapy interventions under the direction of a supervising Physical Therapist
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records in accordance with facility requirements
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and injury prevention techniques
- Maintain a safe and organized treatment environment in compliance with facility protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license required
- Prior experience in an outpatient or relevant physical therapy setting
- Ability to meet credentialing and contract quality assurance requirements prior to assignment start
- Must obtain a permanent state license; compact license may be accepted at start but permanent licensure must be obtained promptly
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in an outpatient physical therapy environment
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems
