Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
  • Active NY State PTA license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required; maintain current BLS during assignment.
  • Experience working in skilled nursing facility (SNF) settings preferred.
  • Experience with therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfers, and use of assistive devices preferred.
  • Ability to follow plan of care established by a licensed Physical Therapist and document skilled services accurately.
  • Client requires clinicians comfortable working with geriatric populations and common SNF diagnoses including post-operative, stroke, and progressive neurological conditions.
