Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a travel assignment in a rehabilitation and skilled nursing setting. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver effective, patient-centered rehabilitation services aimed at improving mobility, strength, and overall functional independence.

This role is ideal for professionals who are committed to hands-on patient care and supporting structured rehabilitation programs.


Key Responsibilities

Carry out treatment plans designed by the supervising Physical Therapist
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility activities
Monitor and document patient progress and response to therapy
Communicate patient updates to the Physical Therapist and care team
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise and recovery programs
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Ensure compliance with facility safety and infection control standards
Support rehabilitation goals that promote patient independence

Start Date: 06/01/2026
End Date: 09/07/2026

Shift: Day Shift
Shift Time: 08:00 16:30

Schedule: As Assigned
Guaranteed Hours: 35 Hours per Week
Contract Length: Approximately 14 Weeks


Requirements

Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license/certification required
Graduation from an accredited PTA program required
Prior rehabilitation or skilled nursing experience preferred
Strong patient care and communication skills
Ability to follow PT-directed treatment plans accurately
Strong documentation and organizational skills
Must comply with facility onboarding and compliance requirements
Must bring state or federally issued identification and wear a photo badge at all times
