Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a travel assignment in a rehabilitation and skilled nursing setting. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to support patient rehabilitation programs focused on improving mobility, strength, and functional independence.

This role is suited for professionals who are passionate about hands-on patient care and contributing to recovery-focused treatment plans.


Key Responsibilities

Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities
Monitor and report patient progress and responses to treatment
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Collaborate with physical therapists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and facility policies
Support patients in achieving rehabilitation goals and improved independence

Shift: Day Shift
Shift Time: 08:00 16:30

Schedule: As Assigned
Guaranteed Hours: 35 Hours per Week
Contract Length: Approximately 15 Weeks


Requirements

Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) certification/license required
Graduation from an accredited PTA program required
Previous rehabilitation or skilled nursing experience preferred
Strong patient care and communication skills
Ability to follow treatment plans under PT supervision
Strong documentation and organizational skills
Must comply with facility onboarding and compliance requirements
Must bring state or federally issued identification and wear a photo badge at all times
