Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 1 full year of Adult Home Health Experience License: Must have license in hand Certifications: CPR, BLS Must-Have: - Reliable transportation - Current driver's license - Agency-required liability insurance Description: This position involves home visits for therapy services. There will be periodic office meetings. The contractor must have reliable transportation. An average of 5-6 patients per day is expected. The contractor will be assigned between 5-10 patients per day. Each type of visit and activity, such as documentation and travel, holds a different point value. The weekly productivity target is 30 points. The contractor must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic. Mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS standard rate. Travel is compensated from patient home to patient home. The commute to and from the first and last patient is not billable. Weekend requirements vary by location and profession. All documentation must be completed within 24 hours of the appointment. Delayed and incomplete documentation may result in a cancelation. There are no guaranteed hours with this contract. The clinician must accept every patient on their schedule. Declining patients may also lead to a cancelation. If the contractor does not receive enough patients each week, they can float to another nearby clinic to pick up patients. All candidates must be proficient in specific EMR systems and have used them within the last 6 months. Candidates cannot currently be direct employees of any partner location if applying for this position. Local candidates will be accepted at the same rate. On-call rotation may be required.
