Job Details
- Position: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
- Location: Rancho Cordova
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Shift: Day Shift
- Schedule: 5x8
- Experience Required: 2 Years
- Weekly Pay: $1800 to $2000
Responsibilities
- Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic exercises, mobility training, gait training, and functional activities as directed
- Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and caregivers on prescribed exercises and rehabilitation techniques
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and patient responses
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure therapy equipment is clean and functioning properly
- Encourage patient participation and motivation throughout the rehabilitation process
- Collaborate with therapists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support patient outcomes
- Adhere to facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in California
- Minimum 2 years of recent PTA experience
- Current BLS Certification preferred
- Strong understanding of rehabilitation principles and therapeutic techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
