We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapy services that help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional independence. This role involves working with patients recovering from injury, surgery, illness, or other physical limitations.
Responsibilities- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
- Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility interventions
- Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, mobility techniques, and safety precautions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support quality patient care
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure therapy equipment is clean, organized, and functioning properly
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care focused on helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional treatment environment
Requirements- Required: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Required: Active PTA license in state of practice or ability to obtain
- Preferred: Previous physical therapy or healthcare experience
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment
