We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week contract assignment at a healthcare facility. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapy services that help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional independence.
This is an excellent opportunity to expand your clinical experience while working alongside a supportive rehabilitation team. Candidates traveling with another Physical Therapist Assistant are encouraged to apply, as the facility has multiple openings and prefers a PTA/PTA travel pair. Individual applicants will also be considered.
Responsibilities- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
- Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility interventions
- Monitor patient progress during treatment sessions and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, mobility techniques, and safety precautions
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support continuity of care
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional treatment environment
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care focused on helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals
Requirements- Required: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Required: Active PTA license in the state of assignment or ability to obtain
- Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
- Strong communication, documentation, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt effectively to new clinical environments and patient populations
