Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a Long-Term Care setting. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will assist in implementing treatment plans designed to improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional independence for residents.
The ideal candidate will be compassionate, patient-focused, and experienced working with geriatric and rehabilitation populations.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist.
- Provide therapeutic exercises and functional mobility training.
- Assist patients with gait, balance, strengthening, and mobility activities.
- Monitor patient response to treatment and document progress.
- Communicate patient status and treatment outcomes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
