Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Current, active North Carolina PTA license required prior to start of assignment.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant, with experience treating geriatric patients preferred.
• Proof of current CPR certification required.
• Current valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with insurance required.
• Ability to perform manual therapeutic exercises, modalities (heat, cold, traction, electrical), transfers, gait training, and functional mobility interventions in home settings.
• Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for prolonged periods as required for home health care.
• Demonstrated ability to document timely and accurate clinical records and submit paperwork on schedule.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Must read, write, and speak fluent English.
• Ability to work independently, travel locally, and follow supervision and care plans from a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Maintain required licensure, certifications, and continuing education.
• Preferred: prior home health experience and familiarity with infection control and reimbursement documentation for third-party payors.
