Make a real difference as a travel Physical Therapist Assistant supporting home health patients in Wilmington, MA. You will assist patients recovering from injury or illness to improve mobility, function, and safety under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication with patients and caregivers, and documentation in an electronic health record.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
  • Active Massachusetts PTA license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
  • Home health experience required.
  • Experience with Homecare Home Base (HCHB) electronic documentation required.
  • Minimum education requirement: Associate degree.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior travel or contract home health experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with common home safety assessments and community-based care planning preferred.


Assignment Details

  • Shift schedule: Days.
  • Weekly hour guarantee: 30 hours per week.
  • On call/weekend requirement: No.
  • Mileage reimbursed between visits from first patient to last patient: Between Visits.
  • Coverage area includes Gloucester, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Beverly, Danvers, Peabody, Salem, Marblehead, Lynnfield, Lynn, and Swampscott.

Provide direct patient care that supports recovery, independence, and safety in the home environment. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement individualized treatment plans, document progress in the EHR, and educate patients and caregivers. This role supports continuity of care across the home health service area and contributes to measurable functional outcomes.
