Job Summary for Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA):
- Provide skilled physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT).
- Implement treatment plans to improve residents mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional ability.
- Deliver direct therapy services such as therapeutic exercises, gait training, and balance activities.
- Monitor and report residents responses and progress to the supervising PT.
- Assist with assessments, documentation, and care planning as appropriate.
- Educate residents and caregivers on exercises and safety techniques.
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of therapy equipment and assistive devices.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to support coordinated resident care.
- Adhere to state, federal, and facility regulations and maintain professional standards and licensure.
